Mu Ko Similan Marine Park

Similan Islands are an archipelago of 11 islands in the Andaman Sea The park covers an area of 140 km² of which 26 km² is land. With a rich marine life consisting of hard and soft coral reefs, crystal clear waters and white beaches, these islands are considered to be one of the best diving sites in the world. The main attractions are the rock formations which consist of huge boulders, shallow waters and dense tropical forests.

The National Marine Park is abundant in gorgeous coral reefs peppered with rainbow colored fish as well as deep water boulder formations that attract large pelagic fish such as whale sharks and manta rays.

The distinctive granite boulder formations on the surface continue underwater creating dramatic underwater seascapes. Most people travel to the Similans for the snorkeling or scuba diving but there are also opportunities to enjoy bird watching and jungle walks
